Have you ever wondered why each "fad" diet you try doesn't quite seem to fit? 

Instead of diving into the new fad diet, this is the time to explore the nature of your true self - your true body.

Each and every human being has a specific body constitution that is unique and different than the next. The body is made up of three fundamental energies, called "doshas" in Sanskrit, that govern our psychophysiological tendencies. Through the ancient medical science of Ayurveda, together we will discover what foods are balancing for me, for you, and for all of us. 

Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga, gives us the guidelines for how to live our lives in a state of peace and happiness, how to create joy in our lives, and how to create balance within and without our bodies. Everything we do has a specific doshic characteristic, such as the way we feed ourselves. The way we care for our bodies has the capacity to shape our mindset and energy towards the world around us. 

Join Adrienne and Amir for an afternoon of food for thought and movement for our bodies - we’ll begin our workshop with a gentle restorative yoga class!

ABOUT US

Adrienne received her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from North Central College, completed her RYT-200 Yoga teacher training certification, and studied Ayurvedic Medicine at Mount Madonna Institute with master teachers including Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, Dr. RH Singh, Dr. Sarita Shrestha, Steven Highburger, Dr. John Douillard, Dr. Rucha Kelkar, and Dr. Yashashree Mannur. Adrienne offers private yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic nutritional counseling, breathwork and energy healing. 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Amir developed a strong interest in serving members of his community and educating others on how to sustain a healthier lifestyle. Amir received a scholarship to play football, is a former professional arena football player, became a personal trainer, and completed his RYT200 Yoga Teacher Training. 

Together, Adrienne and Amir continue to share the love and knowledge passed down to them from their teachers through their classes and workshops.

Learning to live a plant-based lifestyle is simple and truly life changing - in the most beautiful way possible. Learning to live with Ayurveda is a way to reset the body and mind, allowing room for greater health, vitality and longevity.

In this workshop, we will be learning how to cook a delicious Ayurvedic staple, Kitchari. Kitchari is a plant-based meal packed with protein, is both cleansing and nourishing for all seven bodily tissues, and helps to balance the doshas.

We will be filling our minds with the ancient practices of mindful, Ayurvedic cooking and filling our bellies with the healing Kitchari that we cook together.

As we transition into the cold and dry season of Fall, cell turnover slows down and our bodies (especially our skin) need extra love, affection, and nourishment. In this workshop, we will learn Ayurvedic and plant-based skincare remedies to reveal our inner glow.

Join Ho'ola Mamma, Adrienne, as she shares her favorite and simple, yet tremendously beneficial, Ayurvedic (and plant-based) skincare rituals paired with a nourishing yin yoga class.

Amir, founder of YogiAthlete, has a passion for strength and conditioning and specializes in working with athletes. Together, the yogi couple believes in sustainability and practices mindfulness through vegan and Ayurvedic cooking. The divine feminine and masculine energy and pure essence of yin and yang is expressed through love with both of their teaching styles. 

Our Earth-Based Sessions will take place in a private residence in Miracle Mile. Address will be given upon registration.

Join us for an evening of Earth-Based: plant-based eats and conscious movement. Our conscious movement this weekend will be inspired by the Netflix original film, Okja.

Sunday Night's Film: Okja. A gentle giant and the girl who raised her are caught in the crossfire between animal activism, corporate greed and scientific ethics, a Netflix original film.

Wind down with us - We'll nuzzle up to cozy floor pillows and lounge seating, nourish our bodies with plant-based movie snacks, and enjoy this beautiful film on the big-screen projector.

Herbal Yoga

Nourish and awaken your body through a dosha-balancing yoga practice infused with aromatic oil blends. Ayurveda explains that doshas are the fundamental energies that govern psychophysiological activity. This self-love practice stimulates your senses, allows you to encompass balance, and helps to prepare your body for a comfortable "sit" or seat for meditation. 

Join us for an evening retreat of dosha-balancing oil blends and gentle yoga. We will be crafting and making individualized oil blends to take home, followed by a sacred circle of yoga and light Thai massage and meditation.

Join us for an evening of Earth-Based: plant-based eats and conscious movement.

Our evening will begin by moving our bodies through a rejuvenating Yin Yoga class, followed by Herbal Tea Tonics to uplift the spirit, a Plant-Based talk on Western nutrition in comparison to Ayurvedic nutrition, and end with light vegan tapas to nourish the body.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat, journal, pen, and an appetite!

This  holiday season, join us in celebration of community and the outdoors. Surrounded by Mother Nature is where we truly experience the essence of yoga asana. Joining  together – whether it's on our mats, in the kitchen, or on the dance floor – allows the magic to unfold. 

 Our afternoon escape will include of mountaintop yoga overlooking the Griffith Park Observatory, guided meditation, and vegan treats to uplift the spirit!

 Please bring your yoga mat, towel, water bottle, and warm clothes! Optional: meditation blanket, sunscreen.
