Yoga and Ayurveda Retreat in Tulum

Tulum holds a special place in our hearts, which is why we cannot wait to head back. This time, we're taking you to the Mayan Jungle with us!

The Experience

Imagine yourself rising with the sun’s warm rays in the middle of the Mayan Jungle to the sweet sounds of the birds, the grounding smell of copal, and the taste of locally sourced Chilaquiles from the Tierra Restaurant. Holistika Tulum is a magical escape, dear to our hearts, and was built around and in collaboration with Mother Nature, honoring the beauty and resources that she has to offer.

The purpose of gathering at the sacred grounds of Holistika is : to embrace the things that make you happy and whole so that you can better serve those around you; to show up for yourself; to purify your mind, body, spirit and senses; and to bring joy and balance to your life.

Tulum has so much magic to offer, which is why we chose to marry it with the beautiful practice of Ayurveda and Yoga to give you the gift of holistic living. Elevate your mind with the philosophy of Ayurveda, energize your body with the practice of asana and pranayama, purify your spirit with the traditional Temazcal and local cenotes, and invigorate your senses during the Cacao Ceremony, Soundbath and Art Walk.

Temazcal

Rebirth is the main point. Resembling mother earth’s womb, Temazcal offers an opportunity to cleanse our body and mind. A steam ceremony where chamomile and lavender are the powered by ancestral rocks knowledge, guiding us into a deeper way of dealing with our everyday’s worries concerns. Beautiful silky skin guaranteed.

Art Walk

The wildest art gallery in town. Holistika collaborated with Tulum Art Club to bring together a space where artists share their magic through unique and one-of-a-kind murals in the middle of the jungle. The Art Walk takes you on a journey that leads to an enhanced sense of creativity.

Cenotes

A cenote is Mother Nature’s beautiful natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Magical bodies of water found all around Tulum to enjoy swimming and snorkeling.

Yoga & Intro to Ayurveda at Haji Healing Salon, Chicago

We're heading to Chicago to share the practice of Yoga and Ayurveda with communities that need it most!

Haji Healing Salon breathes new life into South Side Chicago in response to the discord and violence plaguing the community. YogiAthlete and Ho'ola Mamma are partnering with Haji Healing Salon, for an evening of wellness: an invigorating yoga class - a moving meditation of 26 postures and 2 breathing techniques to still the mind and increase endurance and flexibility, followed by an introduction to Ayurvedic medicine.

Have you ever wondered why each "fad" diet you try doesn't quite seem to fit? Are you in search of alternative and holistic ways of healing?

This is the time to explore the nature of your true self - your true body.

Each and every human being has a specific body constitution that is unique and different than the next. The body is made up of three fundamental energies, called "doshas" in Sanskrit, that govern our psychophysiological tendencies. Through the ancient medical science of Ayurveda, together we will discover what foods are balancing for me, for you, and for all of us.

Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga, gives us the guidelines for how to live our lives in a state of peace and happiness, how to create joy in our lives, and how to create balance within and without our bodies. Everything we do has a specific doshic characteristic, such as the way we feed ourselves. The way we care for our bodies has the capacity to shape our mindset and energy towards the world around us.

Join Adrienne and Amir for an evening of food for thought and movement for our bodies - we’ll begin our workshop with an invigorating yoga class!

Please bring your yoga mat, journal, and pen.

COST: $25  |  Register HERE at Haji Healing Salon

Autumn Glow : Ayurveda + Yoga for Skincare

As we transition into the cold and dry season of Fall, cell turnover slows down and our bodies (especially our skin) need extra love, affection, and nourishment. In this workshop, we will learn Ayurvedic and plant-based skincare remedies to reveal our inner glow.

Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga, gives us the guidelines for how to live our lives in a state of peace and happiness, and how to create balance within and without our bodies based on our individual constitutions.

Join Ho'ola Mamma, Adrienne, as she shares her favorite and simple, yet tremendously beneficial, Ayurvedic (and plant-based) skincare rituals paired with a nourishing yin yoga class.

Ho'ola Mamma, Adrienne, has a focus on natural healing, kinesiology, yoga, and Ayurveda. Amir, founder of YogiAthlete, has a passion for strength and conditioning and specializes in working with athletes. Together, the yogi couple believes in sustainability and practices mindfulness through vegan and Ayurvedic cooking. The divine feminine and masculine energy and pure essence of yin and yang is expressed through love with both of their teaching styles.
